I hope everyone had an enjoyable track-out and are well rested. I am excited to be back and see all of the kiddos again. We will have a whirlwind of learning experiences from now until winter break.
Classroom News: We will have a new friend joining our class when we return. We will be sure to welcome him into our classroom family.
When we return we will begin cursive instruction!!!! This will be a somewhat "independent learning" experience for the students. Each afternoon we will review and practice a new letter. Upon arrival the students will have seat work practicing that same letter and a sheet to take home for homework. Any work not finished in class can be finished at home. I have created videos that the students can watch at school or home to help them remember how to form the letters. These are accessible on our website. The homework is not mandatory, but advised. Students can also keep it and work on the cursive homework over the weekend.
When we return we will move classrooms into room 507. This is the room next to the second grade classes.
News from the school:
Dear Parents,
Please view the attached link for a very exciting opportunity for your child. Students will try and help set a Guinness Book of World Records on November 17th during specials. Last year's record was 618,394 in one day.
