Thank you all for sending a packed lunch for our worm compost. The kids have been learning about soil composition and plant growth. We made the perfect habitat for our worms: lovingly ripping up their lunch into itty bitty worm sized bites, laying down a gentle blanket of soil, dropping in just the right amount of water droplets to keep them happy. We were surprised and saddened to find that our poor worms did not survive their journey to our school!!! We are hoping to get new and wiggly arrivals soon to continue our compost study.
Next week is picture day on Thursday, 9/11/14. Look in Monday folders for the order forms.
Please note on Tuesday, 9/9/14 there will be a meeting to inform 3rd grade parents of the Read To Achieve Act (RTA) and what that means for your child.
Website update: I have added a few geometry games to our games page. Please have your child look at the classification and bingo game. On the information for cool otters, I have added a lexile finder for parents and kids to use to help find "good fit" books.
